Meet Garry and Paulette Nott

When we took over Tasman Homes in 2007, the company had already been operating 20 years with a solid reputation for delivering quality homes. We’ve been building on that foundation ever since. We focus on delivering superior craftsmanship, service and value for money.
Garry has served the industry wearing many different hats—as a tutor and team leader at NMIT in Marlborough and Nelson, and a committee member and then regional president of New Zealand Certified Builders (NZCB). He now serves on NZCB’s National Board.
Paulette comes from a teaching background and now manages the busy Tasman Homes office.

Working with us
Building or renovating a home can be stressful, we know. But it can also be exciting and (dare we say it) even fun! We’ll do everything we can to make the process as pleasant as possible for you.
We’re flexible. Whatever stage you’re at—whether you’re embarking on a new build with a blank canvas, restoring a vintage beauty with great bones, or wanting the deck of your dreams—we have the skills and resources to help.
If you need an architect, architectural designer or landscape architect, we can put you in touch with the professionals we work closely with. We can also manage any deconstruction or demolition requirements as part of your project.
NZCB member
Tasman Homes is a member of the New Zealand Certified Builders Association—the only organisation in the country that guarantees all its members are appropriately trade-qualified.
You can feel secure in knowing that our builders have completed an apprenticeship in carpentry and/or obtained at least a Trade Certificate or National Certificate in Carpentry qualification within the building industry.

We’ll value your home as if it’s our own, and our team members will manage your site with safe and respectful practices throughout. You’ll be greeted with a smile and kept up to speed with progress. We’ll make sure you feel seen and heard every step of the way.
Communication
When you communicate your vision for your new home, we’ll listen. You’ll have constant contact with both our site foreman and Garry himself to address any queries or questions. Our team will keep you posted on where things are at, so you can relax in the knowledge that everything’s running smoothly.
Quality
Our builders are all permanent staff members so we can stand 100% behind the standard and quality of our builds. We have long-term working partnerships with our subcontractors for the same reason. They know that if they want to partner with us, their values and standards must reflect our own.
Built to budget
If you’re concerned about going over budget—don’t be. We’ll break down every part of the project so you get an accurate breakdown of the build cost. We stick to our quotes. Of course, any variations you want during the build will be priced and sent to you for approval before commencing any work on changes.
