A Little History…
Tasman Homes is a long standing construction company in the Nelson/Tasman region and was established in 1987. It has been meeting the building requirements of a wide range of clientele for the past 25 years. Tasman Homes have built a reputation for quality craftsmanship and service and now operate in the wider Nelson, Tasman and Marlborough regions.
We work closely with a number of architects and architectural designers and are approached by people with both established plans as well as those who prefer to start with a blank canvas.
New Buildings, Alterations and more
In the last 5 years we have branched out into major, and not so major alterations as many people in our region are happy with their beautiful spot, but wish to make changes to enhance their lifestyle. Be it a new kitchen, that extra room for visitors or some serious decking in order to enjoy those wonderful, long sunshine hours of our region!
Any de-construction or demolition requirements can also be managed by Tasman Homes as part of your project. In fact, Garry is well known for a ‘let’s think outside the box’ attitude. Last year we even organised the local fire department to ‘demolish’ an existing dwelling as a welcomed practise exercise, as the owners wished to build on the same site! Flexibility is definitely one of the main reasons many people choose to build with us.
Tasman Homes are members of the Certified Builders Association of New Zealand Inc. which guarantees that all its members are appropriately trade qualified builders.

Therefore Tasman Homes’ builders have completed an apprenticeship in carpentry and/or obtained at least Trade Certificate or National Certificate in Carpentry within the building industry.

You will have constant contact with both our site foreman and Garry himself to address any queries or questions you may have in regard to your home. Our team will keep you posted where things are at and you will be able to relax in the knowledge that everything is running smoothly.

Concerned about going over budget? Don’t be. In our fixed contracts we stick to our quotes so know exactly where you are at with your costs. Of course, any variations you would like to make during the build will be priced and sent to you for approval before any works on changes take place.
